Certified Parts Corp. (CPC), Janesville, WI and ARI recently  reached a formal agreement under which TecumsehPowe’s small engine product line will be available on ARI’s popular PartSmart parts lookup system. Certified Parts Corp. acquired the rights to the TecumsehPower Co.’s engine business in February, 2009.

Under the new agreement, CPC will provide ARI with the parts data for the TecumsehPower small engine line. The first catalog was released in June. Shortly thereafter, the catalog will also be available for use by consumers on WebsiteSmart Pro, ARI’s award-winning dealer website product.

“Our goal is to continue to provide TecumsehPower dealers with access to the information they need to be successful,” says James Grafft, President of Certified Parts Corporation. “We made the decision to partner with ARI for two reasons. First, ARI is the de facto standard in the outdoor power industry. Second, many of our dealers used PartSmart for TecumsehPower in the past and are using PartSmart for other lines they carry today. So, we are confident that they will welcome the opportunity to add TecumsehPower to their PartSmart subscriptions.”

The Equipment & Engine Training Council (EETC), a non-profit association whose goal is to address the critical shortage of qualified service technicians in the OPE industry, recently announced address changes for certification program correspondence, and for EETC’s offices.

Info Access has responsibility for administration of the EETC’s technician certification testing program, and ARI recently acquired Info Access. As a result, the new contact information for the EETC Certification Test Center, where all correspondence regarding certification should be mailed or faxed, is as follows:
